The award name is the skeleton of the trophy proof. If the category ladder is messy, the engraving will look messy even on a premium crystal award.
This page gives Malaysian HR and event teams a bilingual category taxonomy: BM names, English equivalents, when each name fits, and which material normally matches the hierarchy. Use it before you send the recipient spreadsheet or ask for a design proof.

Service awards are not performance awards. They need a calmer category name and a material that still looks appropriate 10 years later.

These categories usually need one larger trophy or plaque for the team, not 25 names on one small award face.
Team of the Year Award
Use for one team trophy plus optional small member pieces.
Department Excellence Award
Works for operations, finance, HR, sales or production departments.
Project Excellence Award
Good for implementation, launch, construction, IT or transformation projects.
Best Branch Award
Banking, retail, logistics and F&B branch programs.
Best Store / Outlet Award
Retail and franchise operations with area-manager sign-off.
Safety Excellence Award
Factory, logistics, construction and oil-and-gas programs.
Use these sparingly. Too many "special" awards make the hierarchy weak.

If the MC and program book are mainly Bahasa Malaysia, make the award face BM first, then English below in smaller text if needed.
For example, "Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang" plus "Excellent Service Award" is enough. Do not add a second long subtitle.
Choose either "Best / Top / Excellence" or "Cemerlang / Terbaik / Khas" as the main ladder. Mixed ladders confuse winners and designers.
Use the same case for every award: title case in English and consistent BM nouns. This prevents a messy proof set.
A category name sets status. Match material to that status so the award ladder feels deliberate.

Use the language your audience and MC will use on stage. Many Malaysian companies use BM first with English below, especially for company-wide awards. International or regional teams may prefer English first with BM as a subtitle.
Anugerah Pekerja Cemerlang / Outstanding Employee Award is the safest general category. If the award is KPI-specific, use a sharper name such as Top Sales Award, Customer Service Excellence Award or Team of the Year.
Executive and lifetime awards usually need crystal, pewter or wood. Monthly and values awards can use acrylic. Long-service and retirement awards need a format with enough space for dates and citation text.
