When budget plastic is the right call (and when it isn't)
Let's be straight: plastic trophies are the budget tier, and that's exactly why they work for the jobs they're meant for.
Where plastic wins: high-volume, single-event awards where you need a lot of trophies for not a lot of money. Think hari sukan tahunan, CCA prize-giving, inter-class tournaments, kids' competitions, fun runs. A gold/silver/bronze cup set lands at RM38-66, small column trophies at RM19.50-32, and the cheapest cup is just RM10.50. At those numbers you can award every category without anyone in PIBG flinching.
Where to spend up: anything a recipient keeps on a desk for years, or anything corporate-facing. Plastic reads light and shiny up close — fine for a 10-year-old, not for a long-service award or a client trophy. For those, point to metal or acrylic.
