Acrylic medals have quietly become the default for high-volume, kid-facing events in Malaysia.

The weight: a CNC-cut cast-acrylic disc is a fraction of a die-struck metal medal. For a primary-school hari sukan where every Standard 1 finisher wears one home, lighter is genuinely better — no sore necks, nothing to drop on a toe.

The print: the full face takes full-colour UV print or a printed insert, so a sponsor logo, mascot, or PIBG crest reads sharp and bright — better than the engraved-on-metal look at this price.

The economics: stock printed acrylic medals land at RM21-25 each, ribbon included. When you're ordering 150-500 for a sports day or larian amal, that per-piece matters.

This is the right pick when the event branding is the keepsake, not the medal's heft.

Two printing paths cover almost every acrylic-medal brief, and both reproduce full colour far more vividly than you'd get on a die-struck metal medal.

Direct UV print lays your artwork straight onto the acrylic face — event logo, mascot, sponsor lock-up, gradient backgrounds. Sharp, durable, no fading on display. The default for sponsor-led fun-runs where the logo has to read clean.

Printed sticker-insert sandwiches a printed disc into the medal. Cheapest path for photo-style or busy multi-sponsor artwork in big bulk runs, and easy to vary front vs. back — event branding on the front, category or position (Johan / Naib Johan / Ketiga) on the back.

Both are free as part of the per-piece price — no plate fee, no setup, no surcharge for double-sided. Send a vector file (SVG, AI, EPS, PDF) and our designers will tidy it at no charge.

The ribbon is the first thing a participant sees, and on acrylic medals it's included — no add-on for stock colours.

Matched podium ribbons: stock pieces ship with the ribbon matched to the medal tier — gold ribbon for gold, grey/silver for silver, red or bronze for the third-place piece. Clean for a podium-style prize-giving.

Stock colours: red, blue, green, yellow, black, plus the podium golds and silvers. Pick whatever matches your school or club colours.

Custom-printed ribbon with your event name and logo running along the length is available on bulk runs (typically 100+). It turns a generic medal into an event-specific keepsake for not much more per piece — worth it for a marathon or larian amal where the ribbon photographs as much as the medal.

Acrylic medals are almost always a high-quantity order, and per-piece sharpens with volume. Stock printed pieces start at RM21-25; larger runs qualify for tailored per-piece — we sharpen the quote on WhatsApp once we have your design, quantity, and ribbon spec.

Always order ~10% extra. On the day there are surprise extra finishers, a few medals get dropped or chipped, and someone always wants a spare for a photo. Ten extra medals on a 100-piece order costs little; running short at the prize-giving costs a lot of stress.

Mixed gold/silver/bronze sets are the same per-piece across all three — pick the ratio your categories need.

Standard turnaround: about one week (7-10 working days) from artwork sign-off to despatch for stock printed acrylic medals. The honest number.

Custom shapes — CNC-cut to your event logo, mascot, or a state silhouette instead of a round disc — add a couple of days for cutting. Routine, not exotic.

Briefing windows:

• School hari sukan / PIBG sports days — brief at least 3-4 weeks ahead. That buffers ribbon-colour confirmation, a sample if you want one, and the inevitable headcount creep.
• Fun-run / larian amal finisher medals — brief 4-6 weeks ahead, especially if you want custom shapes or printed ribbon.
