Stock medals use existing dies — generic athletic, badminton, football, swimming, academic, and abstract laurel-wreath designs. Your event name, date, and category engrave on the back via laser or printed insert.

Custom-mould medals are die-cast from a new mould carved to your specific design — school crest, federation logo, event mascot, sponsor lock-up.

• Setup: RM1,500-3,500 one-time (depends on detail and single/double-side)
• Per piece: RM8-25
• Lead time: 3-4 weeks including mould carving
• Right pick: annual events with the same logo year-on-year (mould is reusable), state-level MSSM, marathons, federation championships

Three decoration layers turn a blank medal into an event-specific piece.

Ribbon is the first layer. Standard satin in black, red, blue, yellow, green, or your brand colour. Printed with your event name and logo along the length.

Back-face engraving carries the recipient and event details. Laser-engraved directly onto the metal back. Free as part of the per-piece price. Holds up over years (printed inserts can fade in tropical storage).

Front-face full-colour insert is the budget alternative to a custom mould. A printed disc drops into a stock blank-front medal. Lands at RM5-10 per piece for full-colour event branding without paying mould fees.

Sweet-spot combo for one-time events: stock medal + custom-printed ribbon + full-colour insert.
