RM 30. RM 65. RM 180. RM 450. RM 2,400. Five honest trophy quotes off one Google search, plastic, acrylic, wood, crystal, custom mould, all correct, all for a different room. None of them tells you which one to pick.
The short version: RM 50 to RM 400 per piece for most standard Malaysian trophy orders. Material picks the bracket, quantity picks where in the bracket you land. Premium crystal, pewter, and bespoke hero pieces sit outside that range and should be quoted from the actual brief.
I field this on WhatsApp every working day, so here is the whole thing laid out, what your annual dinner, sports day or corporate award should actually cost, with no “request a quote” runaround.

Price ranges by material, at a glance
Material does most of the heavy lifting on price. A small crystal piece will out-cost a large plastic one almost every time. Here is roughly what each material lives in for a single, custom-engraved unit:
| Material | Per-piece range | Sweet spot | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plastic | RM 30-140 | RM 55-90 | School sports day, kids’ tournaments, fun runs (50-500 pieces) |
| Acrylic | RM 50-450 | RM 150-280 | Corporate quarterly, esports, modern brand events |
| Metal cups | RM 80-500 | RM 180-280 | Sports clubs, perpetual challenge cups, traditional events |
| Pewter | Quoted on spec | n/a | Hari Raya corporate, retirement, heritage recognition |
| Wood + brass plate | RM 120-380 | RM 160-280 | Long service, conservative recognition (10× MOQ + ~1 week) |
| Crystal, clear cast | RM 100-300 | RM 150-220 | Mid-tier corporate awards |
| Crystal, optical grade | RM 250-550 | RM 350-450 | Annual dinner top-tier, long-service heroes |
| Crystal, bespoke / large | Quoted on spec | n/a | Chairman’s award, founder anniversary, MVP centrepieces |
Material picks the bracket. Size, complexity and quantity then nudge you up or down within it. No amount of “small size” will get a crystal piece down to plastic prices, and no amount of “large size” will push a plastic piece into crystal territory.
Pewter and the bespoke/large-crystal tier I quote on spec, because pewter casting and big optical pieces move with the exact weight and mould, there’s no honest shelf price. Browse the live ranges by category, crystal trophies, acrylic trophies, metal trophies, and plastic trophies. You’ll see how the brackets play out across actual stock.
Four cost drivers that move you within the bracket
Within a material, four things move the number:
- Size and weight. A 35cm trophy uses more material, more shipping volume and more engraving area than a 20cm one. Expect a 30-60% jump as you climb the size ladder.
- Complexity of the engraving. A name and date is included. A full company logo plus a multi-line citation plus a year is still included on most pieces. The only real artwork time is when a low-res JPG logo has to be redrawn to vector, and we do that at no charge.
- Custom shape. A stock blank acrylic sits at the bottom of its band; a CNC-cut custom silhouette of your brand mark in acrylic sits well above it. The CNC time is real.
- Hybrid materials. Crystal with a metal accent, or acrylic on a wooden base, sits above the price of either component on its own.
Where the bulk-pricing brackets actually sit
Trophy pricing in Malaysia is fundamentally a quantity game. The brackets we work in:
- 1 to 9 pieces, list price. Single trophies are made one at a time and there’s no economy of scale.
- 10 to 19 pieces, bulk-friendly territory. Eligible for a tailored quote, message us with your mix.
- 20 to 49 pieces, proper batch territory. Personalisation still included, and we sharpen the per-piece for the exact mix you’ve built.
- 50 to 99 pieces, production-run territory. We’re now batching production and shipping is consolidated.
- 100+ pieces, volume territory. Closest pricing attention, and a real conversation about per-piece, lead time and logistics.
For tournament organisers and PIBG bursars, the maths usually means bumping your order from 40 to 50 pieces costs only a little more, because you cross a bracket line. Always ask us where the next bracket sits.
What an RM 150 trophy actually looks like, four versions, same budget
The RM150 mark is interesting because it sits at the top of plastic, the middle of acrylic, the bottom of crystal and the bottom of wood. Same number, four very different objects:
- RM150 plastic, a large, multi-tier tournament trophy, 35-45cm tall, with a sport-specific figure on top. Looks impressive on a podium.
- RM150 acrylic, a clean modern piece, 20-25cm, with full-colour UV-printed logo and laser-engraved citation. Looks at home on a gala-dinner table.
- RM150 crystal, an entry-level crystal-glass or optical crystal piece, 15-18cm, with inner laser logo and name. The lighter end of the crystal range, but still feels substantial.
- RM150 wood, a small wooden trophy with printed metal nameplate (gold, silver or bronze finish), suited for long-service or a top-student award.
Same budget, four different stories. The right choice depends on what the recipient is meant to feel when they hold it.
When to splurge, when to save
The rule I share with clients on WhatsApp:
- Splurge when the award is the centrepiece of the moment, a 25-year long-service, a chairman’s award, a national-level championship MVP. These are kept for decades.
- Sit middle when you’re recognising a cohort, quarterly top performers, regional contest winners, MSSD finalists. The piece needs to feel earned, not extravagant.
- Save when volume is the point, sports days, fun-runs, school co-curricular nights, kids’ tournaments. The participation matters more than the metal.
If you’re not sure which bracket fits your event, our find-my-trophy quiz walks through the question in about a minute and lands on a real recommendation.
Hidden costs to watch for
Most quotes include personalisation and a presentation box. The line items that sometimes catch first-time buyers off guard:
- Standard lead time. Custom-made wood, acrylic and metal pieces run 7-10 working days from artwork sign-off; ready-made crystal personalises within a week of sign-off. We don’t advertise rush as a service, if your date is tight, message us and we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s possible.
- Shipping. Klang Valley deliveries are inexpensive; East Malaysia adds more, especially on heavier crystal or metal pieces. We charge the actual courier rate, no markup.
- Logo redraw. If your logo is a low-res JPG, we redraw it to a clean vector at no charge, and you keep that vector on file for future orders. Design and vectorisation are always free here.
- Custom packaging. Standard presentation boxes are included. Branded gift sleeves or co-printed boxes are extra.
We quote these openly upfront. If you want a real number for your specific brief, message +60 12-213 6631 and we’ll price it the same day.
A worked example, a Klang Valley GLC annual dinner across 30 pieces
To make the numbers tangible, here’s a representative order shape for a Klang Valley GLC’s annual dinner:
- 10 long-service crystal trophies (5/10/15-year tiers, 3 sizes), RM250 average, RM2,500
- 6 top-performer crystal pieces, RM280 each, RM1,680
- 4 leadership wooden plaques with printed metal nameplates, RM240 each, RM960
- 8 acrylic team awards, RM160 each, RM1,280
- 1 chairman’s award, premium ready-made crystal with custom personalisation, quoted on spec
- 1 lifetime achievement piece, premium crystal with metal accent, quoted on spec
- Personalisation included on all pieces
- Klang Valley delivery, actual courier rate
- Total, quoted from the final mix once the two hero pieces are selected
The point is the structure: a properly differentiated programme usually beats a flat order of 30 identical trophies, because each tier gets the right material and visual weight. Differentiation is free. You just have to plan for it.
How to brief us for a fast quote
The quotes that come back fastest are the briefs that include:
- Quantity, total pieces, plus any tier breakdown.
- Event context, annual dinner / sports day / long-service / customer appreciation.
- Material preference, or “open to suggestions” if you want our recommendation.
- Budget guide, even rough (“around RM5,000 total”) helps massively.
- Lead time, when you need delivery by.
- Logo file, vector ideally; we’ll work with what you have.
A WhatsApp message in that shape gets a real itemised quote back the same business day. If you’d rather see materials in person before deciding, drop by our Brem Park showroom for samples of every material on the shelf.
The single brief detail that quietly lowers a trophy quote
Here is the procurement move almost no first-time buyer knows about. It costs nothing other than agreeing to one constraint upfront in your brief.
Let us spec the height and material instead of asking for a specific shape.
Whenever a procurement team writes “we want a 30cm crystal trophy in shape X for our top performer”, they have either specified something we’d have to commission a custom mould for (4-6 week lead, real tooling cost, which I quote case by case), or they’ve described a near-identical piece that already exists in our catalogue at a lower price.
Try this instead. Write the brief as: “30cm tall, premium-tier feel, optical-quality crystal, modern register, room for a 4-line citation and a logo.” Ask us to come back with three stock-shape candidates. We send three options the same day, all without tooling cost, all production-ready in 7-10 days.
The recipient can’t tell the difference between “shape we briefed for” and “shape we picked from existing tooling that fits the brief perfectly”. Your unit price comes down and your lead time halves. The trick works because trophy moulds are amortised across hundreds of pieces, a custom mould for one order pays the full tooling cost, a stock mould has spread that cost over thousands of prior pieces.
The exception: founder anniversaries, lifetime achievement, chairman-tier pieces where the custom mould is the whole point. For those, lead with the shape. That’s where bespoke earns its keep, and that’s a conversation for WhatsApp, not a shelf price.
